Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti cabinet has resigned again. Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah arrived in Bayan Palace on Tuesday and handed over his resignation letter to Crown Prince Sheikh Mish’al Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Problems with parliament led to the resignation of the cabinet. The resignation comes ahead of a vote of no-confidence against the Prime Minister in Parliament today. Sheikh Sabah became the Prime Minister in December 2019. He resigned three times following the no-confidence motion and later formed a new cabinet. The current government came to power in December 2021.

Kuwait: A foreigner arrested in Kuwait for forging citizenship documents has been sentenced to three years in prison. Kuwaiti Supreme Court convicts Saudi national Earlier, the lower court had acquitted him but the apex court quashed the verdict.

He had been working in various ministries in Kuwait under the guise of forged citizenship. Meanwhile, he was arrested. It was also found that he had forged citizenship documents by adding his own name in the files of a Kuwaiti national. However, the trial court first acquitted him. When the appeal against this verdict came before the Supreme Court, the earlier verdict was quashed and the accused was sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment.
