L. Elangovan, the current Additional Secretary of the President’s Secretariat, will soon be appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Northern Province.
He was released to Colombo on the grounds that he had worked in the North continuously for a long period of time, having served as Secretary to the Governor and Secretary to the Ministry of Education in the Northern Province.
In this situation, L. Elangovan, who has been working as the Additional Secretary of the Presidential Secretariat for the last two years, will be appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Northern Province. At the same time, the current Northern Province Chief Secretary Saman Bandulasena will be transferred to Colombo.
