Mothers and fathers of students with special needs demonstrated this Thursday in La Línea demanding more resources for their children and in support of the Social Integration Technical Personnel (PTIS), which has been on indefinite strike since last Tuesday in protest for better working conditions.
The mobilization started at 10:30 from the bullring and ended in the Plaza de la Iglesia after a tour of the streets of the city center to publicize the situation of these students.
The monitors demand to be hired full time, payment of arrears and vacations and for quality inclusion. The parents of the students, for their part, regret that the situation is unsustainable for many of them, that they have to be absent from work to be able to attend to them when, for example, they need their diaper changed.
The PTIS regret that being hired by a concessionaire company Regarding this service, the Ministry of Education does not respond because it understands that it is a labor problem with companies. “No, it is a problem that you have created outsourcing this service. We are private workers in public centers. And it is your responsibility to solve this problem,” they say.
