Laâyoune at the time of the local school guidance caravan

Initiated by the Provincial Directorate of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Laâyoune, in coordination with the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, and in partnership with the Phosboucraa Foundation and higher education and vocational training establishments, this caravan which continues until May 11, targets students in the second year of the baccalaureate from different sectors, with a view to consolidating the local approach and direct exchange with the main players in the fields of educational and professional guidance.

This initiative, which is part of the implementation of the provisions of framework law 51-17 relating to the system of education, training and scientific research and in the wake of the implementation of the Provincial Directorate’s program in terms of orientation and the support mechanism, targets 1,400 students from qualifying secondary education in eight high schools in the second school catchment, in order to support them in the development of their personal projects.

This caravan, which also intervenes in application of the 2022-2026 Roadmap, in particular the 4th commitment relating to orientation and the 10th program relating to diversified courses, also aims to answer the questions and questions of learners on the subject of their personal projects and to consolidate the proximity approach and direct exchange with students.

This student event also aims to help students in making decisions regarding the choice of studies and careers, in particular through direct meetings with experts in the field.

Thus, teams made up of executives responsible for guidance from the Provincial Directorate will go to the various high schools concerned, with a view to further popularizing the necessary information among students in the secondary education cycle on a scale of the province and to make available to them all useful and appropriate data regarding educational guidance.

Likewise, some 270 students who continue their studies in the 3rd year of the preparatory cycle benefit from motivation and academic excellence courses, under the supervision of social specialists and trainers in the field.

This caravan, which saw the participation of public establishments of higher education and vocational training, tends to promote direct communication between students and representatives of these establishments, in harmony with the objectives of the reform of the education system in matters of educational and professional guidance.

The launching ceremony of this caravan was marked by the presence in particular of the director of the AREF of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Hamdi Krita, the provincial director of National Education, preschool and sports, Mohamed Al-Bachir Toubali and the national coordinator of the support mechanism at the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed El Mechrafi, as well as local actors, representatives of associations of parents and guardians of students and executives responsible for ‘orientation.
