Larache: Opening of the 5th edition of the festival of Moroccans of the world

Organized by the Al⁣ Yousr‍ Association for Sustainable Development in collaboration ‌with the Larache province, the city municipality, the provincial ⁤council,⁣ the Tangier-Tetouan-Al​ Hoceima regional council, and the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans living abroad, ⁤this​ festival runs until the 14th ⁢of⁣ this month. It brings together Moroccan experts⁢ to discuss contemporary ‌issues relevant to Morocco, with the aim of supporting national development across all ​sectors and accompanying the significant progress ⁤the country is experiencing.

Mehdi El Mrabet, president of the ​Al Yousr Association, emphasized that ⁣the festival’s program includes numerous meetings focused on Moroccans living abroad ⁢(MRE). He⁢ stressed that the festival aims to strengthen the emotional ties ⁤of MRE with their ⁣homeland and create ‌a platform for exchanging views‍ on local development, leveraging their skills, experiences, and talents.

He further added that ​the initiative aligns with the ​High Directives ​of HM King⁣ Mohammed VI, which prioritize supporting Moroccan skills‌ and talents abroad, encouraging their initiatives and projects, maintaining communication, and highlighting their⁣ potential and the​ dynamics of development⁢ and investment.

This edition features a‌ diverse group of Moroccan experts from various fields, ​including scientists,​ industrialists, intellectuals, politicians, and cultural figures, ‌who have made⁢ significant ‌contributions to ‌their homeland. Additionally, representatives from several friendly countries, ⁢including‌ China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Spain,⁤ Ivory Coast, and Senegal, are also in attendance.

These countries ⁢were‌ invited to participate in order to foster bilateral relations, ‌strengthen ties, and explore potential partnerships in fields such as digitalization,⁤ culture, ⁤technology, and scientific research, ‍while contributing to the local development of Larache.
