The Rotary Club raised 10,000 euros for the donation project “heart desires‘ donated to the Evangelische Stiftung Neuerkerode, among other things for the family relief service.
This project ensures that people who are cared for by the foundation, whether old or disabled, addicted or psychosomatic, can experience something that would not be possible with the basic care of our social system, explains Miriam Herzberg by the Neuerkerode Foundation.
These desires are as diverse as the people they come from. Herzberg’s colleague Anja Kruse but refers to many other wishes that are only conceivable through monetary donations – the trip to Bad Bevensen, which fulfilled a heart’s desire of a 95-year-old from Neuerkerode, the trip to the Brocken, which a group from the addiction help of the Lukas-Werk was happy about .
“The project that is designed to last is a great success. With the 10,000 euros from the Rotary Club, we can fulfill many other wishes.” Tobias Henkel, Chairman of the Foundation. He already counted 30,000 euros in total donations for the project. “We are happy about every donation, regardless of the amount. Every euro helps to fulfill a heart’s desire,” says Anja Kruse. Donations of time are also welcome.
