Last Super Blue Moon of 2023 will be this Wednesday (30). The phenomenon can be seen from all regions of the country, as long as the sky is not cloudy where the observer is. As long as it’s visible, the Moon will get bigger and brighter.

The change in the perception of the Moon occurs because the star will be at perigee, which is the point of the Earth’s closest orbit. During the Supermoon, the natural satellite will be 357,181 kilometers from our planet, when normally it is at a distance of 384,400 km.

This will be the second Supermoon that will happen this year and in August, the first one happened on the 1st. The phenomenon occurs when the star reaches the full or new moon phase, becoming visible to the naked eye.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the best time to observe the last Blue Supermoon will be at 9:35 pm, but it can be seen all night long. Due to the optical illusion, while it is close to the horizon line, the Moon will appear even larger.
