The Government of Colombia presented a series of digital applications designed to improve the experience of attendees at COP16, the most prominent international event on biodiversity.
These tools will allow participants and those following the event from anywhere in the world to access relevant and updated information in real time.
Among the functionalities of the applications, users will be able to consult the agendas of the Blue Zone and the Green Zone, the schedules of the activities and the five bus routes established exclusively for those attending the Pacific Valley Events Center. In addition, a tourist guide to the region and security telephone lines will be offered to guarantee the peace of mind of the participants.
The apps, available for download on IOS and Android devices, include:
- COP16 – Peace with Nature: Developed by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of Colombia, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, this application offers essential information on mobility, security and tourism. Users will be able to access the agendas of the activity areas and the app is available in Spanish, English and French.
- COP16 2024: This tool allows live connection to all sessions and plenaries of the Blue Zone. Users only need to select the ‘Schedule’ tab to find the event they want to follow each day. In addition, all broadcasts will be recorded on the United Nations website (un.org), where they will be available in six languages.
Finally, the official page of the event, www.cop16colombia.comhas a tab dedicated to the Blue Zone, where attendees can easily plan their trip to COP16. Through an interactive viewer of the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia, you can consult in real time the international air routes, both direct and with stops, to the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Cali.
