Lavrov called the Polish journalist dull after the question of the invasion – RBC

by time news

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov jokingly called a Polish journalist “dumb” for asking again about a possible invasion after several such questions had already been raised. The press conference following Lavrov’s talks with Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau was broadcast by RBC.

At a press conference, Lavrov was asked several times about the alleged invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine. At the end of the event, one of the Polish journalists decided to once again clarify whether there would be an invasion. Lavrov nodded silently.

“In general, you have some kind of dull journalist,” he added, referring to his Polish colleague Zbigniew Rau, and laughed.

Lavrov said that “all is not lost” in NATO

The press conference took place after the talks between Lavrov and Rau in Moscow. The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry called the Western statements about the invasion hysteria and “information terrorism.” Earlier, Politico reported that US President Joe Biden, in a conversation with NATO allies, suggested that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would take place on February 16. Bloomberg called February 15 the expected date for the attack.
