Atlanta Vibe’s Leah Edmond has been named Major League Volleyball Player of the Week, presented by Franklin Sports, after a dominant performance showcasing her all-around skill. It’s a well-deserved honor for the Kentucky native who is quickly becoming a force in the league.
The corner forward led Vibe to their second consecutive victory, a thrilling 3-2 road win against the Orlando Valkyries. Edmond’s performance was a key factor in securing the win.
The 24-year-old consistently delivered both offensively and defensively, demonstrating a powerful attack, efficient serving, and reliable receiving skills. She’s proving to be a complete player.
Statistically, Edmond recorded her fourth game of the season with at least 20 kills, finishing with an impressive 24 at the Addition Financial Arena.
She also added 27 points – the fifth time in the 2026 season she’s surpassed the 20-point mark. Edmond contributed 12 digs, two aces, one block, and one assist, boasting an offensive efficiency of .447 and a 51% attack effectiveness.
Edmond has consistently reached double figures in both points and kills in every game this season, and has also registered double-digit digs in six of her eight appearances. Her efficiency in Atlanta’s recent victories has been a remarkable .377.
This weekly award marks the third of Edmond’s career, solidifying her status as a top player in Major League Volleyball.
