Recalling his Apostolic Mission for Peace to the Democratic Republic of the Congo from January 31 to February 3 and to Juba, South Sudan from February 3 to 5, Pope Francis personally appealed to each of the pilgrims to pray for that country. .

Pope Francis said that we should ask God to give us a shepherd’s heart to bear witness to the Lord Jesus, sufferings and sufferings, and we should realize that it is not only a proud thing but also a duty to carry the word of God to those entrusted to us and to those we meet in our daily lives.

On Sunday, January 15, 14 people were killed and over 40 injured in a bomb attack by ISIS-affiliated AFP militants in the eastern city of Kasindi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is noteworthy that Pope Francis sent a condolence message about this.
