Motsi Mabuse and Timo Kulczak have been divorced for around ten years. The “Let’s Dance” juror is expected to see her ex-husband again in court soon.
Motsi Mabuse and Timo Kulczak married in 2003. However, in 2014, the two professional dancers, who won the German Latin dance championship together in 2009 and 2010, announced their separation. In 2022, the South African-born “Let’s Dance” juror revealed explosive details about her past marriage and made serious allegations against her ex. Timo Kulczak, among other things, controlled her life, Mabuse speaks of toxic conditions. The now 46-year-old denied the allegations. Now the former couple are probably meeting again in court because of this.
In the British “The Sun” the athlete once again denies the allegations. “I didn’t abuse her, I was just German,” said Kulczak. He continues: “Certainly the German character is different than the South African one. But she lived here for a very long time, so she got used to it and liked how organized everything was and how things worked because it was organized.”
“I just wanted the apology”
The matter will now probably go to court: “I just wanted the apology. But at the point where you say that all further communication goes through legal teams, an apology is no longer enough,” says Kulczak.
His lawyer, Samy Hammad, told Bild that the serious allegations were not true and that Motsi Mabuse wanted to make her book more interesting with the allegations. “It is now extremely important to Mr. Kulczak that Ms. Mabuse looks him in the eye while the court and I question her about the relevant issues.”
Motsi Mabuse’s lawyer also commented on the upcoming trial: “My client did not insult her ex-husband, but simply described her personal experiences during the marriage in her book. Therefore, all claims are made out of thin air and have no chance.”
Motsi Mabuse is now married again. She has been in a relationship with the dancer Evgenij Voznyuk since 2015, and the wedding followed in 2017. In August, the couple had their first child together, a daughter.
