A heartfelt letter written by a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl to her mother who died in the war is currently going viral on social media.
Russia has been attacking Ukraine since February 24. Hundreds of thousands of people have been injured in attacks by Russian troops on Ukraine’s border. With thousands dead, more than forty million people have so far sought refuge in neighboring countries.
Meanwhile, a heartfelt letter written by a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl to her mother who died in the war is currently going viral on social media.
The letter was posted on Twitter by Anton Krosenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs.
Little girl in that letter, Mom, I present this letter to you on March 8th. Thank you for giving me nine years of better lives. I owe you a debt of gratitude for making my childhood special.
You are the greatest mother in the world. I will never forget you. I want you to be happy in the sky. You must go to heaven. We will meet in heaven.

The girl’s mother was killed in an attack by the Russian military in the area of Porodyanka.
