These days only hyenas laugh. Anxious, nervous, but they laugh. Those who like to call themselves “good people.” Those who now “entrust themselves to the forces of heaven” to appropriate the heritage that is ours gloat. Sovereignty. Democracy. Republic. Land, Companies. Salaries, rights and dreams, of the workers and the dispossessed of Argentina. Perceiving themselves chosen because of their enriched condition, as in the whimsical story of the Old Testament, their greed is guided by the omnipotence of a bloodthirsty and vengeful, angry and punishing creator. What they want must be done, or we will receive a well-deserved catastrophe of biblical proportions. With the market sacralized on the altar of individualism, there is no longer a need for the God of love, nor mercy, father of a Jesus born in the manger of the poor. What is the purpose of the cross of his passion, if there are too many walls to feign lamentations. These hyenas mock those who offered their lives for freedom and independence. By the National Constitution and the Republic. They despise those who gave everything for popular sovereignty and social justice. It was not enough for them to bomb, shoot and ban, nor with the genocide of 30,000 Argentines. How could they now be content with persecuting and demonizing Peronism or triggering the head of a beloved and consistent political leader? Let them, the haters, laugh and the humble, the disoriented gradually become disenchanted and the middle class repent when it hurts their pockets, all for voting for the insatiable tyranny of economic power. While they promise 40 years of suffering in the desert, like the Jews, and devastate our land, like the Palestinians, we have to take refuge in close affections, in the identity shared with friends and companions. Strengthen our movementist and plural organization. Define a clear proposal for development with social justice, sovereign and independent. Without ambiguities or concessions. Without complexes or betrayals. Because we have the duty to resist and win together with all of us who share a humanistic and supportive DNA.
