The former mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, posted a video on his Facebook page titled “Lie Detector”.
“In the new video, I tell you about the new lies spread by the KP about us, and I also talk a little about the nature of the misinformation regularly spread by the KP in the style of the yellow press,” he wrote.
In particular, Hayk Marutyan referred to the project of raising the price of transport. “When the CP announced the stupid decision regarding the increase in the price of transport, naturally, our faction reacted very rudely to it, and the Shoghovurd rejected it in general, after which they withdrew the draft of this decision from the meeting of the Council of Elders. And in order to get out from under them, they started to spread a very dirty video about me, where I allegedly say that I am in favor of raising the price of transport.”
According to Marutyun, the video that was shared is out of context. “I gave this interview on the first day of my inauguration. If you watch the full video, you will see that I said the same thing then as I said today.
