Lieberman in a sharp attack on Netanyahu: “Plans to oust the Chief of Staff”

by time news

Avigdor Lieberman goes on the attack: Chairman of Israel Beitenu and outgoing Minister of Finance Avigdor Lieberman published a tweet today (Saturday) in which he claims that in conversations he had with senior Likud officials he got a picture of Netanyahu’s plans for the next government. Among other things, Lieberman claims that Netanyahu dismissed the elected Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, on the grounds that he does not cooperate with Netanyahu’s plans regarding Iran.

The Committee for the Appointment of Judges and the Ministry of Communications

Among the other points on which Lieberman attacks Netanyahu, he also claims that the majority in the committee for selecting judges is important to Netanyahu, and if a representative from the opposition joins the party, Netanyahu will aim to appoint Ahmed Tibi. Another issue related to the legal system is the dismissal of the legal advisor to the government, Gali Behara Miara. According to Lieberman, Netanyahu plans to replace him as quickly as possible.

Netanyahu also plans to make changes to the Ministry of Communications and appoint a person close to him to the position and later also to take over the public broadcasting corporation ‘Kaan’.

Netanyahu’s plans for Smotrich and Ben Gvir

Lieberman claims that Netanyahu is even planning to politically eliminate Smotritzk and Ben Gvir with whom he is currently holding coalition talks with the aim of forming a government with them as partners. “Netanyahu has an orderly plan for the political elimination of Smotrich,” Lieberman writes: “In the above context, those close to the family claim that there has never been such a broad internal consensus as the understanding that there is an urgent need to get rid of Smotrich in the upcoming elections or as a higher priority, through changes in coalitions of one kind or another, If it becomes possible before the elections, Netanyahu also has plans for Ben Gabir, and according to Lieberman, Netanyahu has “an orderly plan to thwart Ben Gabir and return him, as Netanyahu said, to his ‘natural dimensions'”, i.e. 4-5 mandates.
