the frenzy surrounding ticket sales quickly led to both Saturday and weekend passes selling out completely. As of Tuesday afternoon, a limited number of Sunday-only tickets remain available and can be purchased here.
The excitement surrounding Mighty Hoopla 2026 is, in part, fueled by Lily Allen’s highly anticipated return to the stage. Her upcoming performance coincides with the release of ‘West End girl,’ her first studio album since 2018’s ‘No Shame.’ The new album, which delves into her personal life including her split from actor David Harbour, has been met with critical acclaim, earning a four-star review from NME. Allen has already added extra dates to her 2026 UK tour due to overwhelming demand, promising fans a full album performance at venues across the country.
The intense competition for tickets was evident on social media, with fans sharing screenshots of virtual queues and expressing frustration at the website’s capacity. @callmethomas posted a screenshot of the queue, while @simon__stirling shared their experience of the website crashing.Recognizing the overwhelming demand, Mighty Hoopla issued a statement on X/Twitter 15 minutes after tickets went on sale, advising fans to “stay patient and wait in the queue!”
Beyond the headliners, Mighty Hoopla 2026 will also feature the return of popular stages like The Bump, showcasing a diverse lineup of DJs and live performers, including sets from Trixie Mattel and Horse Meat Disco. Queertopia, a stage dedicated to emerging queer talent, will return with performances from Empress Of and Mykki Blanco. Further artist announcements are expected in the coming months.
Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears is set to return to Mighty Hoopla for a second consecutive year, following a surprise appearance at kesha’s set this summer where they performed “We R Who We R” and “Let’s Have A Kiki.” This year’s festival also included performances from Ciara, Kate Nash, Pixie Lott, Loreen, Vengaboys, Mutya, Jamelia, Jojo, Erika Jayne, G flip, and Daniel Bedingfield.
The festival faced a brief legal challenge earlier this summer when a member of the Protect Brockwell Park group attempted to halt the event, alleging insufficient planning permission.Though, a judge ultimately ruled in favor of the organizers, allowing Mighty Hoopla to proceed as planned.
