Paley Museum Announces december Lineup Featuring Teh Beatles and percy Jackson Events

the Paley Museum is expanding its December PaleyLive programming with a series of highly anticipated events, including a special screening of “The Beatles anthology: Episode One” and an inside look at Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” as part of its ongoing 50th anniversary celebration.

A Month of Media and Entertainment

These new additions complement an already robust schedule of December events at the Paley Museum,offering diverse programming for audiences of all ages. “These programs are the perfect complement to an already remarkable lineup of December events at the Paley Museum,” stated Maureen J. Reidy, President & CEO of the Paley Center for Media. “Our December events offer something for visitors of all ages and are a fitting continuation of our 50th anniversary celebration.”

Reliving Beatlemania: “The Beatles on The Beatles”

Fans of the iconic British band will have the opportunity to revisit the story of The Beatles in their own words with a screening of “Anthology: Episode one” on december 2 at 6:30 p.m. The original “Beatles Anthology,” which premiered in the 1990s, was groundbreaking for its use of archival material, live performances, studio recordings, and previously unseen footage to tell the band’s story.

The newly restored and expanded nine-episode series will begin streaming on Disney+ on November 26. Following the screening at the Paley Museum, a conversation will feature Andrea dresdale (ABC News), Tom Frangione (SiriusXM’s The Beatles Channel), Joe Scarborough (Morning Joe), special guest Max Weinberg of the E Street Band, and moderator Jordan Runtagh (iHeartMedia/Rolling Stone). The event is generously supported by the Blanche and irving Laurie Foundation.

– The “Beatles Anthology” originally aired in 1995 and offered an unprecedented look into the band’s history, featuring extensive interviews and rare footage.

Journey to the Sea of Monsters: “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season 2

The Paley Museum will also offer a sneak peek into the next chapter of the Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” with a screening of Episode 3 and a discussion on December 17 at 6:30 p.m.Season 2 follows Percy Jackson as he embarks on a quest to the sea of Monsters in search of Grover and the Golden Fleece.

Attendees will hear directly from cast members Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer, with Lin-Manuel Miranda, who appears in the series as Hermes, serving as the moderator.

– “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on the popular book series by Rick Riordan,bringing the world of Greek mythology to a new generation.

An Evening with Bob Costas and PaleyLand

Previously announced, “An Evening with Bob Costas” will take place on December 9 at 6:30 p.m., where the renowned sportscaster will reflect on his career and discuss the role of radio in his work. He will also announce a donation of interviews from his “costas Coast to coast” series to the Paley Archives. This event is also supported by the Blanche and Irving laurie Foundation.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the museum’s annual Christmas exhibit, PaleyLand, will run from November 22 to January 4. Visitors can enjoy photos with Santa, character meet-and-greets, train displays, arts and crafts, holiday screenings, giveaways, and complimentary hot chocolate.

Ticket Facts

Tickets for these PaleyLive programs are currently available to Paley President’s Circle, Patron Circle, and Partner Members. Access will open to Individual, family, and support members on Friday, November 21 at noon ET, with public sales beginning on Saturday, November 22 at noon ET.
