It’s hard to believe, but 30 years have passed since the singer burst into our lives Lior Narkis, who every year adds to his arsenal another bunch of hits that star at every successful party. In the huge show he put on last night at Menorah Hall, in front of an audience of 12,000 people, Narkis celebrated his entry into the fourth decade of music that has long been a part of the Israeli soundtrack.

On a 360-degree stage, which was surrounded by huge portable screens that projected alternating pieces of art throughout the performance, Narkis gently opened with the song “I’ll give you years”, after which he continued his line of calm songs. But don’t worry, because this is just the calm before the storm. Hit after hit, the successful singer gave an elegant show that completely suited his size, and especially also the audience to stand on their feet.

Besides the fact that Narkis’ songs are among the happiest in Israeli music today, the good energy and a fire that burned in him from excitement lifted the atmosphere in the hall. Throughout the show, the exact balance between the energetic and calmer songs was maintained, the plot remained interesting and the singer was able to present all the sides he brought to us throughout his 30-year career.

And right in the middle of the show, when the audience was already pumped for energy, Narkis began bringing up one after the other the special guests who came to rejoice in his joy on stage. The first was the singer and songwriter Ron Beatonwho came up to sing together with the groom of the event the song “Leave me from techno”, which he wrote with the writing duo Dolly and Penn who sat in the crowd.

After him, and after a background dance that was frankly a bit unnecessary, came the most special guest of the evening, that’s him Shlomi Shabbat, who came to perform with Narkis the song “Everybody Has” (which personally moves me especially). The two blew up the hall together and melted the hearts of everyone who carries this amazing song in their hearts. Immediately after, at this point Narkis decided to dedicate the song “God’s Plot” to his wife sapphirewho recently starred with him in the headlines regarding a relationship crisis.

And last but not least, the singer and best friend rose Moshe Peretztogether the two performed the song “Against the World” by Narkis, and the song “Carmela” by Peretz, which undoubtedly made the audience dance.

I don’t feel the need to say too much, because really this time it was just fun. The kind of times where there is not much need to dig and delve into the intricacies of production, sound quality or vocal performance. Everything just worked, and worked well, which is also why Lior Narkis is currently celebrating 30 years of career, and will celebrate the 40th with us.
