Are you ready for a bigger task? For our investigation section, we are now looking for an investigator who is committed, responsible and cooperative. Special criminal law groups 1 and 2 at the Investigation Section are responsible for investigations concerning primarily environmental and work environment matters but also other crime categories that fall under special criminal law. The staff is located in several locations in the South region. In addition to the investigative task, the groups have responsibility for method development throughout the region. The group is the contact point for both internal functions within the Police and external actors such as the Work Environment Agency, the County Administrative Board, the National Accident Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Job description

We are now looking for you who want to become our new employee for the investigation section in Region Syd, Växjö. The function includes independent work, but also to investigate and be responsible for criminal investigations in a group regarding mainly work environment or environmental crimes, hold interviews and conduct a preliminary investigation based on directives from the preliminary investigation leader and/or prosecutor. You are involved in the entire investigation chain, from the case coming in to the Police, until it is finally reported to the prosecutor. You need to be able to prioritize your work in front of pre-trial investigation leaders and prosecutors and make recommendations before decisions or further measures, be involved in method development and cooperate with other authorities. The position may also include assistance during house searches etc., and travel in connection with interrogations and crime scene investigations.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Police training, in accordance with Police Ordinance (2014:1104) alternatively academic degree or other equivalent training deemed equivalent and relevant for the position
  • At least one year of documented investigative experience
  • Good ability to compile and prioritize matters in an educational manner
  • Good knowledge of expressing oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • B driving license for manual transmission
