Scientists in Myanmar have discovered viruses that look similar to the corona virus that has caused havoc worldwide.

The Corona virus that originated in China has had a huge impact and economic impact worldwide. Currently under control. In this situation, a new type of virus that looks similar to Corona has been detected in Myanmar.

Medical experts who say that this virus is a close relative of the Sars CoV 2 virus that caused the Covid-19 infection have many characteristics, and suspect that the origin of this virus is 96% similar to that of the Sars CoV 2 virus and that the two viruses may have had a common ancestor nearly 40-70 years ago.

Bat

Scientists in rural areas of Myanmar have found that more than 12 percent of the population is infected with the virus. A team of scientists from the United States, Myanmar and Singapore analyzed samples collected from 693 individuals between 2017 and 2020. Many of them work in rural areas of Myanmar making compost from bat waste.

Various other information has been revealed through this study. Accordingly, many people living in that area have already been exposed to different types of Sarebeco virus. Many of these viruses have not yet been transmitted to humans.

It is speculated that this spread may be due to their close association with bats. The virus was found in people who hunted bats and collected their remains. This suggests the importance of bats in the transmission of Sarpcoviruses to humans.

A similar result was found in a study conducted in China. That study also found that people who lived near bat dens were more likely to be infected with Sarpcovirus.

As bat habitats are destroyed and human encroachment increases, the potential for such diseases to spread is said to increase.
