The trailer of Disney+Hotstar’s ‘Looter’ was released on March 6. Made in the direction of Jai Mehta, this show is by Hansal Mehta and will start streaming from March 22, 2024. ‘Lutere’ stars Rajat Kapoor, Vivek Gomber, Amrita Khanvilkar and Aamir Ali. The two-minute and 11-second trailer plunges viewers into the chaos right from the start, starting with a pirate attack on a Ukrainian ship. The pirates quickly gain control and take everyone captive. Amidst rising tensions, a port captain enters, revealing his hidden agenda of exploiting the pirate attack to his advantage , because the ship is moving towards its port. Will these people escape or will the pirates take it over?

Showrunner Hansal Mehta said about the series, ‘We have seen many ship hijacking stories, where the pirates set their sights on the sea like this. Our effort is to show the story of increasing power and greed in international kidnapping and the preparations made to avoid it.

Rajat Kapoor told the behind story
Actor Rajat Kapoor said, ‘Lootyre has been a very long journey. For a guy like me, who has never been on a ship, playing the captain of a ship was an adventure. Additionally, the group making the series became a family in South Africa for a few months. The long and difficult days at sea were quite risky. The real captain is Jai Mehta.
