Lucknow: After a disciplined performance by its bowlers, thanks to a half-century by Marcus Stoinis, Lucknow Super Giants defeated Mumbai Indians by four wickets in the 48th match of IPL 2024. At their home Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium, Lucknow won the toss and bowled first, restricting Mumbai Indians to 144 runs for six wickets. Later the target was achieved after losing six wickets in four balls. Nicholas Pooran returned unbeaten after scoring 14 runs in 14 balls and Krunal Pandya returned unbeaten after scoring one run in one ball. This is Mumbai’s third consecutive defeat, with this its playoff hopes are also looking bleak.
