Lt. Col. Tomer Greenberg, the commander of the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was tragically killed in action during a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. At the age of 35, Greenberg had only taken command of the battalion six months ago, but he had already faced immense loss when 41 fighters were killed on Black Saturday, October 7th.

Since the loss of 41 fighters in October, the 13th Battalion held a memorial service in honor of the fallen soldiers at the “Kativa” outpost, the very place where the massacre took place.
