The midfielder of the under-20 team, Luísa Fontes, suffered an injury to her left knee during training last Wednesday (01) and will have to undergo surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament.
Still on the field, the player was promptly assisted by the São Paulo Women’s Medical Department and underwent an image exam, this Thursday, which confirmed the injury. The club will provide all the necessary support for the athlete, who will undergo the surgical procedure soon.
Fontes has been at the club since last year, when he arrived to reinforce the youth teams. In the current season, the 17-year-old player is part of the under-20 team. For Tricolor, the midfielder won the Paulista Under-17 and the Nike Cup (2022).
