The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, described the sanctions imposed by the West against Russia and Belarus as illegitimate and noted that it is just “bullshit”.
Lukashenko addressed the topic of sanctions during the meeting held today in Moscow after the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We have always been under sanctions. today they are bigger, but we are used to that “pig” of the West. Why the pig, because all that is illegitimate, illegal, violates all international agreements,” said Lukashenko.
According to him, Western sanctions open a “period of opportunities” for Russia and Belarus.
“Today there is no such question: will we overcome the sanctions or not? Today, sanctions are a period of opportunities for us,” Lukashenko said.
He added that “people in the USSR were also under sanctions”, but they were living and developing normally.
