Time.news – Evgeny Prigozhin, the founder and head of the Wagner paramilitary group, protagonist of the uprising two weeks ago, is in Russia and not in Belarus. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. “Now he is at St.Pietroburgo. Where was he this morning? He may have gone to Moscow in the morning. It’s not in Belarus,” he said at a news conference in Minsk. “As I was told this morning, the servicemen of the Wagner group are in their permanent camps where they have been staying since they returned from the front to recover,” the Belarusian president. The stationing of the Wagner military in Belarus does not involve any risk for the country, he assured.

The Kremlin said it was not following the movements of the head of the Wagner mercenary company, Evgheni Prigozhin, thus neither confirming nor denying the Belarusian leader’s statements that “Putin’s chef” would return to Russia. “We are not following his movements,” the Kremlin spokesman told reporters Dmitry Peskov, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin communicates “quite often” with his counterpart in Minsk, Aleksandr Lukashenko.

Meanwhile, the Russian media have released the images of the house search of Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner paramilitary group, carried out in St. Petersburg during his attempted armed rebellion almost two weeks ago. A helicopter parked in the garden, a luxurious house, containing wads of dollars and rubles, gold bars and weapons, false passports, disguises and violent symbols.

Fontanka websitebased in St. Petersburg, also reported that a photo with “severed heads” was found in the home of Prigozhin, whose mercenaries are regularly accused of abuse. The site also posted a photo showing a huge club in a room of Prigozhin’s house, near a metal head bearing the message “In case of important negotiations”. The “mace” is one of the symbols of the Wagner group, which prides itself on using this weapon to brutally execute or torture its enemies.
