Lula should participate in the September 7 celebrations

The federal government is crafting a plan to use the Independence Day parade, scheduled for Sept. 7, as an opportunity to promote unity and cohesion in the country.

The event takes place at a time of tension in the political scene, especially related to the Armed Forces, amid investigations into the attempted coup that took place on January 8 and the controversies surrounding the sale of jewelry received by Jair Bolsonaro (PL-RJ).

With the slogan “democracy, sovereignty and union”, the parade is being organized by the Secretariat of Social Communication, with the intention of transmitting a message of peace and cohesion to the nation.

The event will be divided into four main themes: “Peace and Sovereignty”, “Science and Technology”, “Health and Vaccination” and “Defense of the Amazon”. The Minister of Secom, Paulo Pimenta, emphasizes that the occasion will also serve to rescue and celebrate national symbols, such as the flag and the National Anthem.

The parade will be held concisely, with an estimated duration of about two hours, and will not feature a speech by President Lula. The tribune of honor will receive approximately 200 guests, including ministers, leaders of the Powers and commanders of the Armed Forces.

On September 6, the day before the parade, President Lula will make a statement on national radio and television, addressing the theme of national sovereignty.

In the parade itself, the National Anthem is scheduled, the passage of troops from the Armed Forces, an air show performed by the Esquadrilha da Fumaça and presentations by schools and institutions.
