Lung patient dies in Kochi; Relatives alleged that it was due to smoke inhalation

Kochi: Relatives of a lung patient during the banana season have alleged that the death of a lung patient was due to toxic fumes due to the fire in Brahmapuram. Lawrence Joseph, a native of Wazhakala, died. Relatives said that Lawrence’s illness worsened after last Wednesday. Lawrence’s wife, Lizzie, said the smell of smoke caused severe breathing problems.

Hiby Ewden MP said Lawrence’s death was believed to be due to smoke inhalation. The person died who had difficulty breathing for a week. Hibi added that the matter has been informed to the Health Minister.
