With the aim of bringing together committed people with social projects from the region and promoting their passion project, the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg (LzO) launched “WirWunder” two years ago. “A large community can achieve much more than an individual alone,” said Michael Thanheiser, CEO of the LzO in a statement.
Doubling action on December 6th
In order to generate as much funding as possible for the association’s projects, the LzO is once again calling for a doubling campaign. According to the announcement, the Sparkasse is making 15,000 euros available for this purpose. “All incoming donations up to 50 euros will be doubled on the day of the campaign, Wednesday, December 6th, from 9 a.m.,” promises the LzO.
A donation volume of almost 270,000 euros in two years
“The last funding campaigns on “WirWunder” have already shown that, thanks to the large donations, numerous charitable projects could be supported on our doorstep,” said Thanheiser. The campaigns also contributed to the fact that almost 270,000 euros in donations were received via the platform in the last two years. “I am aware that for many social clubs collecting funding is essential in order to bring their own ideas to life. We want to help with that.”
The Sparkasse therefore invites clubs and non-profit organizations to register on the “WirWunder portal”. “WeWunder helps them to gain more visibility for their work and to find new supporters,” the statement says
