Paris – Emmanuel Macron’s vaccination certificate has been circulating on the Internet for a few days. Photos showed a QR code as well as the president’s name, date of birth and vaccination information. The presidential palace confirmed the authenticity of the code that was circulated. According to the Élysée Palace, France’s health workers have access to a centralized system of corona vaccination certificates. Macron’s QR code was accidentally or deliberately circulated from among these staff. Government spokesman Gabriel Attal said a new code could be set up and the old one deactivated.
The authorities announced on Wednesday that they had found those responsible. The German press agency in Paris learned on Wednesday from the French state health insurance company that those health workers had been identified who had irregularly accessed the data and violated professional ethics. The National Council of the Medical Association announced that the consequences for those affected will now be decided at the local level. There was talk of a serious breach of medical confidentiality.
