Kochi: Customs seized 1762 grams of gold worth Rs 78 lakh at the Kochi International Airport. The gold was made into a paste and attached to both feet. Muhammad Dilshad, a native of Malappuram, was arrested.
He came from Sharjah and added gold under both his feet. Then he covered the gold with tape so that it could not be recognized and wore socks and shoes. Suspicious of his gait, the customs officials took off his shoes and checked them. Earlier, gold was also seized after it was dissolved and brought in tort.
