Madurai: A complaint was filed by the BJP and the Hindu People’s Party demanding action against actor Siddharth in connection with the Madurai airport incident.

Madurai District Hindu People’s Party President M. Cholai Kannan and BJP lawyers filed a complaint in the Madurai Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s office today, saying, “Film actor Siddharth and his family arrived at Madurai Airport on 28.12.2022 to go to Chennai. Siddharth has posted on his Instagram page that the Central Security Force personnel behaved harshly to them to speak in Hindi and made them wait unnecessarily. His post has caused a language problem.

Madurai Air Defense Force officials have denied Siddharth’s allegation. At the airport, Siddharth and his family were searched by a woman security force from Tamil Nadu. Airport security personnel said that the search lasted for 10 minutes as Siddharth’s family did not cooperate in checking the belongings.

Actor Siddharth and his family have acted with the intention of hiding all the facts that happened at the Madurai airport, inciting language sensitivity among the people of Tamil Nadu and creating problems. Therefore, legal action should be taken against the family of actor Siddharth, who is spreading malicious comments on social media platforms in a way that defames and threatens Central Industrial Security Force personnel,” it said.

Further, in the complaint sent by Tamil Nadu BJP state executive committee member Shankarbandi to Union Minister of State for Aviation Vijaykumar Singh, “Actor Siddharth intentionally posted a comment on social media that the security forces forced him to speak in Hindi at the Madurai airport. He did this for self promotion. Due to this, legal action should be taken against actor Siddharth and his family. And Siddharth and his family should not be allowed in Indian airports.”
