Mahindra has announced its first electric SUV, the XUV400, by September 2022. Pricing and booking details for this model are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. At this stage, the test drive for the new Mahindra XUV400 model has started in India.
The new XUV400 electric SUV is the electric version of the XUV300 that Mahindra is already selling. According to the information released so far, this electric SUV model will be available in three variants namely Base, EP and EL.
The new Mahindra XUV400 comes with a 39.4 kWh battery pack. It is capable of producing 150 HP of power and 310 Nm of torque. The car has a range of 456 kilometers on a full charge. It comes with a 3.3kW/16A home charger, a 7.2kW/32A fast charger and a DC fast charger.
Charging the Mahindra XUV400 with the DC fast charger takes just 50 minutes. It takes 13 hours to charge with a home charger. This car has three different riding modes namely Fun, Fast and Fearless. The car is packed with features like connected car technology, automatic climate control, sunroof, push button start.
The price of the new Mahindra XUV400 model in the Indian market is Rs. It is said to start at 17 lakhs. This electric car will compete with models like Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV.
