Bhopal: The police termed the death of a Malayali nurse under mysterious circumstances in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, as murder. Malayali nurse T.M., a resident of Bhopal’s Gayatri Vihar Colony. It is clear that the incident in which Maya (37) died was a murder. Maya’s friend Deepak Katiyar (31), a native of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested in connection with this. The police stated that the two were close for about five years. Deepak testified that the reason for the murder was Maya’s refusal to withdraw from the relationship. Deepak had married another woman last year. The murder was a continuation of the dispute related to this.
It was Deepak who took Maya unconscious to the hospital last Thursday morning. It was said at the hospital that the woman felt dizzy and then fell unconscious. However, the doctors confirmed that Maya was dead before reaching the hospital. This was reported to the police. Deepak, who had escaped from the hospital by then, was taken into custody by the police from the Halalpur bus stand.
During the subsequent interrogation, the police discovered that Deepak himself had killed Maya. The postmortem report stated that Maya was killed by suffocation. The accused admitted this during interrogation. The police revealed that Deepak was brought to the hospital four hours after Maya’s death.

Deepak, a native of Kanpur, lived in a flat in Lalghati. The police got information that Maya used to come here from time to time. Maya had reached here on Wednesday evening to meet Deepak. It is concluded that the murder took place that night.
According to the police, Deepak invited Maya to his flat and killed her in a planned manner. Prior to this, his wife and parents who were with him were sent to Kanpur. Then Maya was invited to the house. Deepak got physical with Maya who came to the flat on Wednesday. The murder happened after this.
