NewMammootty’s film Nanpakal Neth Mayakk has been included in York Times’ five most important films of the month. This is the first time that a film from India has made it to the New York Times list. Other films include the French film Jumbo, A Human Position, Domestic and The Show. This has been revealed through the Twitter page of Mammootty’s production company ‘Mammootty Company’.
The film, which was screened at IFFK, received good reviews from the theatres. The film continues to air on Netflix. Good response is getting.
Mammootty’s film production company, Mammootty Company, and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Amen Movie Monastery have produced Nankaal Maikam. Lijo’s story S. Harish has written the screenplay and dialogues. Apart from Mammootty, Ramya Pandian, Ashokan, Vipin Atlee and Rajesh Sharma played other roles.
