Manama: Start of preparatory work for the 33rd Arab summit with the participation of Morocco

Manama – Preparatory work for the 33rd Arab Summit, scheduled for next Thursday, began on Saturday in Manama in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with a meeting of the Economic and Social Council, at the level of senior officials.

Morocco is represented by a delegation composed in particular of the head of the division of relations with the Arab and Islamic World at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Abdessamad Hamraoui, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Morocco to the Arab League, Hicham Ould Essallay, as well as the head of the Arab and Islamic Organizations division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Abdelali Al-Jahed.

The meeting focused on the presentation of the report of the Secretary General of the Arab League on joint Arab economic and social action, the discussion of the emergency management plan to deal with the economic and social repercussions of the Israeli aggression against the Palestine, as well as on the progress made towards the establishment of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area and the Arab Customs Union.

The Council also discussed the Arab strategy for youth, peace and security, that relating to training and technical and vocational education, as well as Arab cooperation in the field of financial technology and digital innovation.
