The photo agencies had stopped distributing the photo because upon closer inspection it appeared that the snapshot was not entirely real, but this could not be properly verified. The Telegraph got to the bottom of the matter:
Among other things, discrepancies are said to have been found with Princess Charlotte’s left hand. In addition, her hair seems to end abruptly over her shoulder on one side and the zipper on Kate’s jacket can also be seen to have been edited.
But there is no indication that the image “misrepresents Princess Kate or her children or that she is not as healthy as she appears to be,” the Telegraph report continued.
What royal fans should be even more pleased about after Kate’s greetings for Mother’s Day is that she speaks out again a day later. According to the palace, she should take it easy after her operation until Easter, but little by little things seem to be looking up.
