The movie will hit theaters worldwide on April 1. Ashok Selvan himself announced the release date on social media. A film of the same name was released in 1976 starring Kamal Haasan and directed by K Balachander. ‘Kamal Sar played a Casanova in that film. Ashok Selvan plays such a character in this story. But this character is completely different. We started shooting this movie without a title. The name was suggested by Ashok. We all liked that name ‘, Lord Venkat had said in an earlier interview.

The film was shot entirely during the Lockdown period. Venkat Prabhu describes Manmatha Leelai as a casual and at the same time entertaining film. The OTT release was initially planned but the producers later turned to the theatrical release. There are three heroines in the film. Samyuktha Hegde, Smriti Venkat and Riya Suman. After the huge success of ‘Manadi’, the audience expectation on Manmatha Leela as Venkat Prabhu’s film is high. Premji Amaran is the music director of the film.
