Six billion barrels of crude oil are stagnant in tanker ships as various countries stop importing crude oil from Russia.
Following the war in Ukraine, various countries, including the United States, stopped importing Russia’s Ural crude oil, which is well known in the international market.
While 80 lakh barrels of crude oil was exported daily before the war, it has now dropped to 67 lakh barrels. As a result, more than half a billion barrels of crude oil is stored in Russian ports.
With crude oil currently being exported to Europe and Asia, the European Union is expected to impose a ban soon.
