Almost half (48.2%) of Russian IT developers did not see the launch of industrial competence centers (ICC) and development competence centers (DCC) as having a real impact on the software industry, and another 17.7% did not feel significant support from them. This is stated in a study by the Russoft Association (which unites more than 340 IT companies), presented at a press club meeting on October 3.
26.9% of respondents generally found it difficult to give an unambiguous answer about the effectiveness of the ICC and TsKR, and only 7.2% of respondents considered the tools for supporting the ICC and TsKR significant, the study says. “Software developers did not have enough information regarding the possibilities of working with ICC and CCR in general,” it follows from the survey.
