Authorities have indicated they are amenable to the request, stating that he is unlikely to rejoin the Maoist movement in an area where support for the insurgency has waned. “His own villagers will not allow him to do anything untoward as they are done with maoists,” Reddy said. “We will keep tabs for some time.”
