But how happy are Italians? A poor 7! This is the vote that the inhabitants of the country give to their lives. In fact, the Bel Paese may also be the cradle of culture, fashion and good food, but in terms of life satisfaction, especially in recent years, it leaves something to be desired.

Taking a look at the World Happiness Reportthe ranking that measures, by examining six criteria, the quality of life and psychophysical well-being of populations, the countries of the Northern Europe. And theItalia? It’s even outside the top 30.

The happiest place in the world is there Finlandsecond place for Denmark, Iceland third.

But what makes people happy? In general, men need a nice nest egg available, women need good relationships with children, family, friends, colleagues and superiors.

However, “happiness” varies from one country to another. For example, in Italy relationships and health are important, while in Lithuania it is measured by the financial and work situation. In Switzerland and Finland, happiness is given by physical health, just as in Japan, relationships with parents are fundamental.
