Beloved Sligo Woman, Margaret, Remembered with Deep Affection

A cherished member of the Tubbercurry community, Margaret, passed away peacefully at Sligo University Hospital. Her loss is deeply felt by a wide circle of family and friends, who remember her with love and gratitude for a life well-lived. The family requests privacy at this difficult time.

A Life Celebrated

Margaret’s life was marked by strong family ties and a warm spirit. She is predeceased by her parents, Henry (Tance) and Mary Agnes, and her brothers, Johnnie and Louie. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael, her adored son Gary, and daughters Lisa and Chanel. Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren: Jayden, Mya, Alana, Louie, and Ella, as well as Michael’s children, Kerry and Brendan, and their children, Adam and Phoebe.

Margaret’s extended family includes Gary’s partner, Emma, and Chanel’s partner, Ryan, alongside her brothers, Henry and Francis, and sisters, Bridie, Mary, and Teresa. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, kind neighbors, and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, January 18th, at 6 p.m. at the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Tubbercurry. The Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Monday, January 19th, at 10:30 a.m. at the same location. Following the mass, a private cremation service will be held at Shannon Crematorium at 3 p.m.

The family has requested that their home remain strictly private during this time of mourning.
