Maria Markou is the “Woman in Black” from The Chase and talked about her studies and career in Berlin and Greece. For her work at the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, as well as her love of politics.

Maria Markou also pursued journalism in her career: “I had dreams of a career as a journalist, but in the end I was disappointed. She didn’t appeal to me. I went to Berlin, did a PhD used in advertising. I spent 10 years in Berlin, I loved it a lot. I’m not saying I lived in Germany but in Berlin.
In 2012 I was living in Berlin and was a bit of a persona non grata due to the financial crisis. I started to feel unwanted! They told me that it is our fault that the German grandfather does not have anything to eat,” he said of the years he stayed there.
He changes course in Greece: “In Greece I decide to find my professional path. I decided to study law and I decide to be appointed to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food because I thought I could offer while they were against me,” she added about her public position.
Maria Markou’s participation in The Chase initially arose from an application to participate as a player: “The Chase arose from a resume to participate as a player. I was told there is a willingness to try out as a Chaser.
I went through repeated tests, they gave me endless test questions. I like to think I was over 80%. At the beginning of December 2020-2021 I was told that I would participate. Chaser’s seat is hot.
