A deserving former Bayern professional was briefly discussed as the record champions’ new coach. Martín Demichelis has now commented on his current job – in clear words.
In the midst of the debate about Tuchel’s successor at FC Bayern, ex-Munich player Martín Demichelis has made his commitment to River Plate.
“Contracts are there to be adhered to,” said the 43-year-old coach of the Argentine first division football team at a press conference. “I’m ready to give the best of myself. The day I can’t do it anymore, I’ll be the first to raise my hand, regardless of whether I still have a contract or not.” Demichelis still has a contract with River until the end of 2025.
The top favorite for the coaching position at Bayern is Ralf Rangnick (65). According to the sports director of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB), Peter Schöttel, the Austrian national coach has received an offer from Munich. Rangnick is now considering whether he wants to accept the offer from Munich.
