NetEase Games and Marvel Games announced Marvel Rivals, a new free third-person shooter, designed as a PvP experience for teams of 6 players, in which you will control the famous Marvel superheroes.

In development for PC, Marvel Rivals is in the hands of a global team that includes talent who have worked on series such as Call of Duty and Battlefield. The project has been touted as one of Marvel Games’ most ambitious efforts, while NetEase feels it is a highly exciting collaboration capable of reaching audiences around the world.

The cast will be made up of Marvel heroes and villains, including characters from Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men and others such as Spider-Man, Black Panther, Magneto and Magik.

Designed for fast-paced 6v6 action with dynamic mechanics, Marvel Rivals will be available to players through a test in May, in which you will be able to discover more about the high-speed gameplay and skills used in scenarios that change in unexpected ways.

NetEase also talks about the need to coordinate the use of skills between characters, skills called Team-Up Skills, to create unexpected tactics that can change the course of combat. The scenarios, which recreate numerous well-known locations from Marvel Comics, will also be an important part of this experience, which will be constantly evolving with the arrival of new features and updates.

It was also revealed that Marvel Rivals will have a narrative created by NetEase in which Doctor Doom joins forces with his 2099 version to force superheroes and villains to fight in an intertwining of the temporal flow, which allows Marvel characters from various eras to be brought together.
