Liverpool, England, January 4, 2026 – Aigburth resident, and former resident of Liscarney, Carramore, Westport, Co.Mayo, passed away peacefully at her home on December 5, 2025, just shy of her 98th birthday. The news marks the end of a long life, remembered fondly by a large and loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Aidan, and siblings Martin, lawrence, Eileen, and Kathleen, as well as her parents, Edward and Ellie (nee Kerrigan). Her passing leaves a void in the lives of her sons, Aidan (Carol), John (Bernadette), and eddie (Bernadette); daughters eileen (Colin), Betty (Peter), and Maria (Craig); and siblings Nora, Rose, and Lizzie.
A Funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 12 noon in st.Charles Church, Aigburth, Liverpool, followed by repatriation to Ireland. reposing will take place at Hammel’s Funeral Home, Kilmuckridge, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 7pm until 8pm. A Removal will then proceed to St. Mary’s Church, Kilmuckridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12noon on Wednesday, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
The dual services-one in liverpool and the other in Kilmuckridge-speak to the importance of both communities in her life and the family’s commitment to honoring her memory in both places.
