Victims Identified in Maine Bowling Alley and Bar Shooting

LEWISTON, Maine – Authorities and family members have confirmed the identities of the 18 victims who tragically lost their lives in a mass shooting that occurred at a bowling alley and bar in Lewiston on Wednesday night.

The shooting took place at Just-In-Time Recreation, formerly known as Sparetime, a local bowling alley, where seven individuals were killed. Eight more victims were shot in the billiards room at Schemengees Bar & Grille restaurant. Unfortunately, three victims succumbed to their injuries at a nearby hospital.

Among the victims was Tricia Asselin, who was confirmed by her brother to be one of the victims at Just-In-Time Recreation. Tricia was the only woman killed at the bowling alley.

Bill Brackett, who was part of a gathering of deaf people playing cornhole at Schemengees Bar & Grill, was identified as another victim by his father, William Brackett.

Michael Deslauriers II, a golf and bowling enthusiast, was tragically killed in the shooting. Deslauriers’ sister spoke to ABC News, describing her brother as someone who loved to make people laugh and was always willing to help others. He leaves behind a girlfriend and three children.

Bob Violette was also confirmed as one of the victims by his daughter-in-law, Cassandra Violette. The tragedy has left a void in the lives of those who loved him dearly.

Steven Vozzella, who was part of the gathering of deaf individuals playing cornhole at Schemengees Bar & Grill, was confirmed as a victim by his brother, Nick Vozzella.

Joseph Walker, the manager of Schemengees Bar & Grill, showed immense bravery in attempting to stop the gunman. His father, Leroy Walker Sr., revealed that Joseph tried to confront the shooter but was shot twice in the stomach.

Peyton Brewer-Ross, an employee of the AFL-CIO, also tragically lost his life in the shooting. The AFL-CIO confirmed his death in a Facebook post, expressing their condolences.

As authorities continue to investigate the mass shooting, friends, family, and the community mourn the loss of these innocent lives. This incident has shaken the tight-knit community of Lewiston, leaving many seeking answers and solace during this difficult time.
