A writer running out of ideas for the next play to be staged inventories the texts, dialogues, monologues and skits that could be performed in the absence of a ‘strong’ idea to propose to his producer. Helped by his computer assistant, he evokes stories and characters, which take physical and scenic form with the intervention of many young people of good will and with potential but still unexpressed artistic talent. It is the guiding idea of ‘The state of things’written, directed and performed by Maximilian Brunowith the students of his acting school, on stage until May 21 at Parioli theater in Rome.

But the show will not always be the same and neither will the group of actors and actresses that move around it Maximilian Bruno. Every week, for three weeks, the sketches will be different and the artists called upon to interpret them will be different, among the sets designed by Alexander Chiti for the original music composed by Roberto Lobbe Procaccini.

“The writer is constantly struggling with his fear of having no more imagination,” he explains Maximilian Bruno in the director’s notes – With his secretary he will look for convincing stories that will magically come to life on stage to try to restore creativity to the author in crisis: the characters are united in a sort of magic box, all for one and one for all, finding each other to become real”.
